Od połowy lat dziewięćdziesiątych miękkie przynęty są najchętniej używaną przynętą przez wędkarzy spinningistów. Moda łowienia na gumy przyszła ze Stanów Zjednoczonych. To właśnie tam produkowany jest najwyższej jakości asortyment miękkich przynęt. Nie zawsze jednak ich kolorystyka, kształt i akcja (ruch przynęty) były przydatne na polskich i europejskich łowiskach.

Trzeba było czasu, aby poznać, jakie sztuczne przynęty ( „gumy” ) są najbardziej łowne na polskich i europejskich akwenach wodnych: jeziorach, rzekach. Nasza company RELAX z Bielawy wcieliła to doświadczenie w życie. I like fishing for all species of predatory fish and I don't miss any opportunity to go fishing. I am a complete fisherman, I fish with spinning and baitcasting equipment, silicone lures and wobblers, I fish from the shore on mountain rivers but also from the boat equipped with the latest types of sonar on the lakes in Romania and Europe. Every fishing trip is a pleasure but also a training day for the predator fishing competitions that I like to participate in and win. My favorite lures and the ones that I won the most contests with are the Relax lures.

I have been fishing since I was a child, which I started with my father and brothers. I started hunting small perch and very quickly turned my attention to pike fishing, which has appeared in our lake for the last 10 years. Such strength and such a struggle of one fish, bought me for life.

Vlasina Lake is a wild lake, at 1200m above sea level, beautiful surroundings, full of conifers and white birch, with a rich underwater world and with lots of big pike, brown trout and catfish. I have been looking for big predators for various baits for 10 years, and especially Relax Kopyto and Jankes gave me the best results, as I prefer to fish for pike - the power of this fish fascinates me because it is different every day. I know where those over 1 meter are hiding, which are in large numbers on the lake.

After many years in a corporate work environment, I would love to take a step towards becoming a permanent full-time fisherman, that is my dream.

Zamiłowanie do wędkarstwa zaszczepił we mnie ojciec. I nie był to spinning, a zasiadki za karpiem, jednak z racji tego, że nie wysiedzę w jednym miejscu, rozpocząłem swoją przygodę ze spinningiem i tak już zostało do dnia dzisiejszego. Czasami nawet uda się coś złapać. Głównie jest to okoń, sandacz lub szczupak.

Z firmą Relax Lures jestem związany kilka lat. Moim zdaniem najlepsze przynęty, z jakimi miałem do czynienia. Wędkuję i mieszkam w Norwegii.

I am definitely one of the most dedicated predator anglers in Romania, probably in the world.

I am sure that my competition results also reflect this, both at national level and at international level as well. I have 4 World Championships attendances so far, under the FIPSed federation. Here are some competition achievements that are relevant:

• 1st place/Nations, at 2017 FIPSed Russia World Championship in Konakovo. Predator fishing from boat discipline.
• 2nd place individually at 2017 FIPSed Russia World Championship in Konakovo. Predator fishing from boat discipline.
• 3rd place, individually at the FIPSed World Fishing Games in South Africa in 2019. Predator fishing from boat discipline.
• 4th place FIPSed World Championship in Ireland 2016. Predator fishing from boat discipline.
• 4th place at FIPSed Bass World Championship in Italy on Lago di Garda, 2008.
• Multiple national champion and vicechampion
• 1st Place at Danube Delta Predator Challenge 2021, in my opinion the toughest competition format in Europe, with some of the biggest prizes.

I was asked which species I prefer to fish for more. Honestly, I don’t have a preferred predator species I’d like to fish for more than others. I get bored easily, therefore I try to differentiate as often as possible. I also like to put myself into situation most of anglers I know wouldn’t even fathom doing. I am doing this because I like to be prepared for any fishing situation, especially because I like competing in fishing tournaments. Once the date for a tournament is set, there’s no going back,. no matter what the weather is going to be, therefore I like to be prepared for anything. I like diversity, and I will go out of my confort zone more often than I’d like, and will go fishing in very different places both in Romania and internationally because of this.

For those that follow me on social media, know that I am a very passionate film creator, for my YouTube channel asavafishing. Something that will need 100% dedication in the future, if I want to take it to the next level.

Besides the above, my main business at this moment is rodbuilding custom rods, something I like to think I took to the next level, by creating both art and function. Briefly, everything I do, work, free time revolve around fishing. I can truly say I am living the dream, because I earn my living doing what I love.

Zajmuję się wędkarstwem od najmłodszych lat. Już jako dzieciak jeździłem z Dziadkiem na ryby, ale prawdziwa pasja zaczęła się w 2007, gdy już jako dorosły człowiek wyrobiłem kartę wędkarską. Jestem członkiem PZW Bielawa, należę także do #TeamRelax. Kiedyś dużo wędkowałem z brzegu na grunt, jednak od wielu lat moją główną metodą stał się spinning. Szczególnie cieszy mnie wędkarstwo spinningowe ze środków pływających.

Choć miałem przyjemność łowić na wielu polskich akwenach, to moim ulubionym zbiornikiem wodnym jest zdecydowanie Jezioro Otmuchowskie, to właśnie tam udało mi się złowić największe sandacze w mojej wędkarskiej karierze. Łowiąc korzystam w znacznej mierze z przynęt firmy Relax Lures, a moimi ulubionymi przynętami podczas łapania sandaczy i okoni jest Ohio i Bass.

Do rekordów z których jestem szczególnie dumny, należy szczupak – 107cm (Jezioro Lubiąż), okoń – 46cm (Jezioro Szarcz Duży), sandacz – 79cm (Jezioro Otmuchowskie), chociaż mam nadzieję, że to nie moje ostatnie rekordy, a przede mną jeszcze wiele życiówek.

Wędkarstwo towarzyszy mi właściwie od dziecka. Mój ojciec oraz dziadek byli wędkarzami i dzięki nim odkryłem swoją pasję. Moją ulubioną metodą jest spinning, w szczególności z nastawieniem na sandacze, ale szczupakom czy okoniom również nie odpuszczam. Łowię dla przyjemności i samego faktu obcowania z naturą, bo jak wiadomo, wędkarstwo to nie tylko ryby. Nie mam potrzeby rywalizacji z innymi wędkarzami, ale oczywiście zdarza się, że wezmę udział w jakiś małych, skromnych zawodach. W ubiegłym roku zająłem miejsce na podium w zawodach podlodowych, więc zimą też nie próżnuję. Posiadam kilka medali przyznawanych za ryby mieszczące się w normach medalowych, które opisane są w najbardziej rozpoznawalnym czasopiśmie wędkarskim w Polsce.

Carlos Diestro Villaplana

My name is Carlos Diestro Villaplana. I’m 42 years old and I come from a small town of just over 4,000 people, located in the province of Badajoz, in the Extremadura region of Spain. It’s a special place for fishing, surrounded by large reservoirs and rivers.

I come from a family of fishermen, and my fishing journey began more than 30 years ago. My father was my first teacher and the person who introduced me to predator fishing.

As a child, I started fishing with bamboo rods and the legendary Sagarra reels, which are true collector’s items today. At that time, the rivers were real fishing paradises, full of life and home to many different species.

My first experiences were fishing for black bass with live bait. My father and I would catch small fish called “colmillejos” with nets in canals and ponds before each fishing trip. I still remember my first catch — the excitement and emotions were incredible and stayed with me forever. From that moment on, every fishing trip became something positive, and every day on the water was a new opportunity to learn.

As the years passed, my passion for fishing continued to grow. I eventually chose belly boat fishing as the perfect way to put everything I had learned into practice. I bought a GoPro and started recording my adventures on the water. The passion and dedication I put into fishing and filming eventually caught the attention of several fishing brands, and I had the opportunity to start working with them.

Eventually, I chose Relax, the brand I’m proud to be working with today. The huge variety of lures, colours and accessories fits perfectly with the way I understand and enjoy fishing.

Relax lures have already helped me achieve some incredible and record catches, and they continue to be an important part of my journey and growth as a fisherman.

Julio Bolaños Rico

Hello everyone, my name is Julio Bolaños Rico.

My fishing journey began when I was just 8 years old. I started fishing for freshwater species such as carp, barbel, boga and chub with my father and uncle in different reservoirs and rivers around Madrid.

During the summer holidays, I would switch from freshwater fishing to fishing in the sea. I caught species such as leerfish, mackerel and groupers, but freshwater fishing always attracted me the most.

When I was 12, I joined the El Cascabel Fishing Club. This is where I learned different techniques for fishing for freshwater species, including pole, match and Bolognese fishing. I also learned different rigs, discovered new fishing spots and was introduced to the world of fishing competitions.

The club also organised predator fishing trips, targeting species such as pike, bass, trout and zander. After my first predator fishing trip, I immediately fell in love with this type of fishing, especially pike fishing. Their aggressive nature, the fight they give when you hook a big fish, and the challenge of catching them made pike my favourite species and the one I spend the most time targeting.

In 2000, after my time at the fishing club, I started fishing from a boat. This allowed me to explore new waters and search for bigger fish. It didn’t take long for the results to come, and I began spending most of my time fishing with soft lures.

Soon after, I started working with Federpesca fishing magazine, writing articles about predator fishing, different techniques and fishing locations. I collaborated with the magazine for more than 10 years.

At the same time, I also started working with FTI Fishing, a company that distributes several fishing brands. That was when I first discovered RELAX. As soon as I saw the quality of the soft lures and the huge variety of models and colours, I was impressed by the brand. Of course, RELAX lures quickly became a permanent part of my boat!

In 2011, we got in touch directly and I started representing RELAX in Spain. Since then, I have represented the brand several times in international fishing competitions, including the Pike Open in Orellana, where I finished 4th in 2023.

Thanks to RELAX soft lures, I have achieved several personal bests with different predator species and enjoyed many fantastic days on the water.

It is a real pleasure to work with and represent such a great brand in Spain. The quality of RELAX soft lures is truly outstanding!
